For 2019 Mazda has updated their sporty hatchback the 3. It's everything that we expect from a Mazda from it's Kodo design to its dynamic handling.
Looks wise the new 3 is very different than before. It lost the edgy lines that once were on all Mazda products, but now the entire side of the vehicle is smooth and flows. Mazda still calls it Kodo, but it is revolutionary compared to previous designs. Everything is in the details. The headlights and taillights scream quality, and there's just so much depth in it.
The most controversial part is the rear 3/4. The C pillar is thick and a lot larger than before. With the hatchback that we have here you can see the rear window is smaller making the rear of the vehicle a lot thicker.
Inside the 3, we are surrounded by fantastic quality materials. Everything is a soft touch from the dash to the seats; it's a lot more premium that you may think.
There's no doubt the new suspension design has every enthusiast a lot more skeptical than they should be. But I must say this torsion beam setup is surprisingly good. It leaves me wondering if there an actual need for an excellent multi-link setup.
